Slowly but surely our adoption is moving along. We have three different agencies that we're considering at this point. We have our puzzle piece fundraiser where people get to actually become a "piece" of our journey to bring our child home. We have a wonderful friend who graciously offered to do our adoption "maternity" photoshoot. We have family and friends from all over who are anxious for us to expand our family. We are beyond blessed and couldn't be happier. Last night a sweet friend of mine reached out to me and told me that she has a close friend who adopted recently. Later on we got in touch with one another. She shared with me a fundraising opportunity and the church that she attends. Andrew and I have been searching for a church that feels like home since we moved to Manchester. This wonderful woman told me all about her church and how many people's lives have been touched by adoption there. God knows what he is doing. We are blessed to have friends who reach out to those that they know can provide a source of comfort on the long road ahead. We are looking forward to "trying out" this church to see if this is where we belong.
A friend from my childhood shared our story with her facebook friends/family. This is when it hit me. In order for us to bring our child home, we need people to share our story. Share the story of adoption. Many people's lives have been affected by adoption. Many people have adoption in their heart. It is so important that people know that adoption is an option and a great one!
Our puzzle piece fundraiser is going really well. We have $80 in donations so far! Below is what our puzzle will look like when it is completed. The owl represents wisdom and helpfulness. It is with the help of you, our friends and family, that we will become parents. Please help us bring our child home to us!
